Anna H. Rutt, 80, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. Born in Conoy Twp., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Z. and Ella E. Heisey Miller. She was the wife of the late Norman B. Rutt who died in February 2007.
As a member of Word of Life Chapel, Bain-
bridge, since its beginning in 1950, Mrs. Rutt served as a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed working in the nursery. A homemaker, she help-
ed her husband on the family farm and enjoyed working outdoors. Mrs. Rutt had a heart for missions and loved children, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grand
children. She was a 1946 graduate of Donegal High School and was valedictorian of her class.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two great grand-
children, two brothers, Ralph and Norman Miller, and a sister, Miriam Herr.
She is survived by six children, J. Leon, married to Myra Rutt, Elizabethtown; June L., married to Duane Hertzler, Loysville; Karen M., married to Tony Mast, Parkesburg; Joanne L., married to Jerry Hess, Mount Joy; Jere L., married to Beth Rutt, Elizabethtown; David A., married to Kris-
tine Rutt, Tyrone, GA; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; a brother, John H. Miller, and a sister, Ruth Hollinger.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at Word of Life Chapel, 139 Wickersham Road, Bainbridge at 2:00 PM. Friends may call at the church on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 6:00-9:00 PM. Interment will be private.
