Melvin A. Gladfelter

RED LION – Melvin A. Gladfelter, 85, formerly of Red Lion, died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Haven West Nursing Home, Camp Hill. He was the husband of the late Alverta (Winemiller) Gladfelter.
The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home Inc., 145 E. Broadway, Red Lion. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John's (Sadlers) Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Gladfelter was born in Glen Rock, the son of the late Horace and Minnie (Bollinger) Gladfelter.
He was a woodworker for York International.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorcas M. Rittenhouse, York, and Janet L. Stine, Red Lion; a brother, Raymond Glatfelter, Glen Rock; five half-sisters, Alleine Smith, Hanover; Marian Ambrosius, Glenville; Betty Taylor, Glen Rock; Gladys Allison, Glen Rock, and Ruth Eltz, Hanover; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Stephen Schmuck.
