Bula Juanita Fay Clark, 91, daughter of Henry and Cora (Tucker) Aurand, was born on a farm in Republic county (sic) April 30, 1905. She died at the Good Samaritan Center, Superior, Saturday.

She attended Big Bend District No 122 (Hurley) and Rosemound rural schools south of Hardy.

On December 21, 1927, in Mankato, she was married to Dorman Clark.

She lived in Jewell and Republic counties most of her life, working along side her husband as a farm wife and mother. She was a member of the Jewel Social Circle, Olive and Hardy chapters Order of Eastern Star where she served as Esther, Adah, Ruth, associate conductress, conductress, associate matron and as worthy matron. She was also a member of Women's Christian Union and Helping Hand Club, all of Hardy. She entered the Good Samaritan Center Nov. 9, 1989.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 6, 1982; an infant son, Harry; four sisters, Frances Aurand, Lenore File, Mildred Steier and Atha Stenson; and a brother, Eugene Aurand.

She is survived by her children, Ray and Ralph, Hardy, Mrs. Robert Sayre (Winnie), El Cerrito, Calif., and Mrs. Harold Laughlin (Juanita), Downers Grove, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday from the Union Church, Hardy, with Pastor Dale Bussinger officiating. Burial was in Rosemound Cemetery south of Hardy. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of arrangements.

HARDY, Neb. - Bula Clark, 91, Hardy, died Saturday, June 8, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Center, Superior.

Mrs. Clark was born Bula Aurand on April 30, 1905, at Big Bend, Republic County, Kan., and was a lifelong resident of Jewell and Republic counties, Kan. She was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since 1989. She was a member of the Jewell Social Circle, Women's Christian Union, Helping Hand Club and Order of the Eastern Star Hardy Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman, in 1982 and an infant son, Harry.

Survivors include two sons, Ray of Hardy and Ralph of Courtland, Kan.; two daughters, Winnie Sayre of El Cerrito, Calif., and Juanita Laughlin of Downers Grove, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Church, Hardy, Pastor Dale Bussinger officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound (sic) Cemetery, rural Hardy.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Megrue-Price Funeral Home, 750 N. Commercial, Superior 68978.
