Mamie Dora "Eudie" Conger Rusher was the oldest of seven children born to John Thomas Conger and Amanda Green Arnold. She was born in Collin County, Texas on July 7, 1886.

Eudie's siblings were: Hubert Hart Conger, Mertie Lavada Conger, William Clinton "Bill" Conger, Minnie Sophy Conger, Benjamin Alvie "Pete" Conger, Sr., and Iva May "Ivy" Conger.

In 1905, Eudie married John H. Conaway in Collin County, Texas. John died October 6, 1943. On January 29, 1945, Eudie was remarried to Charlie Allen Rusher (who also preceded her in death) in Amarillo, Texas. Neither marriage produced children.

On November 8, 1955, Eudie died of pneumonia, noted on her death certificate as a complication of congestive heart disease. She was buried at East Mound Cemetery in Matador, Texas on November 9, 1955, where her mother is also buried.
