Myrtle Louise Carlson Rodin was the oldest of ten children born to John Wilhelm Carlson and Ellen Christine (Larson) Carlson. She grew up in Bowbells, ND and graduated from Bowbells High School.

In Fargo, ND on Nov. 14, 1937 she married Milton R. Rodin, the son of Hans O. and Betsy (Long) Rodin of Roseland Township, Burke County, North Dakota. Her husband worked for the U. S. Postal in Fargo, ND where they made their home.

married Feb. 27, 1960, at Calvary Baptist Church, Fargo to Larry Overby . 4 children: Mike Overby, Moorhead; Steve (Tosha) Overby, Milbank, S.D.; Dave (Amy) Overby, West Fargo; Pam (Aaron) Sorenson, East Grand Forks, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren

Services were held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Fargo, ND on Wed. Oct. 28, 1987.
