Anna A. Schiffner, 97, formerly of Stony Creek Mills, Reading, passed away May 24, 2013, in Berks Heim, where she had resided since May 2007.

Her husband Stanley L. Schiffner passed away November 3, 1991.

Anna was born in Reading on April 26, 1916, a daughter of the late Warren and Katherine (Brown) Pennock.

She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stony Creek Mills, and was employed by Luden's, retiring in 1978.

Surviving is her daughter, Janet L. Faust of Muhlenberg Township. Her daughter, Patricia A Laity, passed away January 9, 2013. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Michael W. Fisher (wife, Laura Marcoux) of Telford, PA; Dr. Doreen M. Fisher (companion, Thomas Bammer) of Pocono Lake PA; Randy Laity (companion, Kay Shoemaker) of Moneta, VA; and Robin Oleson (husband, Todd) of Exeter Township. There are 6 great grandchildren: Kyra Fisher, Joshua Fisher, Ashley Laity, Brianne Laity, Zachary Laity, and Andrew Oleson; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Anna was the last member of her immediate family, with 2 sisters and 6 brothers predeceasing her. The family wants to express their gratitude for the care and compassion that Anna received from Berks Heim A1 unit.
