"Mary E. Maynard, 83, Jefferson City, died Tuesday at her home. She was born Oct. 16, 1911, in St. Thomas, a daughter of Henry and Anna Rackers Gerling. She was married in 1937, in St. Louis, to Lee Maynard, who died in 1980. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include: two brothers, Hubert Gerling, Mexico, and Norbert Gerling, Henley; and one sister, Martha Sallin, Westphalia. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dulle Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 P.m." [JCNT, Wednesday-04/26/1995]
