SHADY SPRING - V. Blanche Griffith, 97, of Shady Spring died Oct. 30, 1998 in Columbia Trident Hospital, Charleston, S.C. after a long illness.
She was a housewife, a former employee of Hub and Vogue, Beckley, and a member of Shady Spring Baptist Church.
Surviving: sons, Harry A. Griffith of Rialto, Calif., Mannie Rondell Griffith of Martinsburg; daughters, Zelda Meador Virts of Shenandoah Junction, Margaret H Alexander of Hendersonville, Tenn., Rosemary Emmons of Salem, Ore., Bonnie B Garten of Summerville, S.C.; 16 grand children, 21 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11am Monday at First Baptist Church, Shady Spring, with the Rev. Joe Pizzino and Pastor Delvin D Elwell Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Tom Lilly Cemetery, Ghent. Friends may call from 5 to 8pm Sunday at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring, and one hour prior to service at the church.
