Funeral services for Alice B. Gerken, 86, of Needville, will be held Wednesday, May 29, 1996, at 2 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. George Kuebler will officiate the services.
Gerken was born July 29, 1909 to Hugo Pape and Emma Schubert Pape. She passed away Sunday, May 26, 1996, in Needville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Gerken; parents, Hugo and Emma Pape; sister, Edna Meyer; and brother, Howard Pape.
Gerken is survived by daughters, Jeanette Meadows and husband, Ervin, of Damon, Brenda Sweeny and husband, Kenneth, of Guy; sisters, Lila Moeller of San Antonio, Florine Measles of Austin, Alma Gerken of Freeport; sister-in-law, Lucille Pape of Wimberley; grandchildren, Mark Meadows and wife, Leanna, of Needville, Daryl Meadows of Damon, Michael Meadows of Damon, Rhonda Kramer and husband, Tooly, of Needville, Deanna Sweeny of Guy and fiance, Chad Nesvadba, of Needville, Lisa Sweeny of Guy and friend, Josh Finch, of Damon; great-granddaughter, Mikayla Kramer, of Needville; great-grandson, Dustin Schlauch of Rosenberg; step-great-grandson, Kyle Kramer of Needville.
