Georgia Belle (BLOXTON) Hunter, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 1988, at the Odd Fellows Home, 600 Elmwood Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia, where she had been a resident for 17 years.

Born in Washington, D.C., Belle was the daughter of the late Conway Peyton Bloxton and Georgia Belle (Stanford) Bloxton.

Belle's husband was the late William Alexander Hunter, Sr. Georgia Belle Bloxton (19) and William Alexander Hunter (24), b. 1899, Fairfax County, VA, s/o William S. Hunter & Minnie Lee Hunter, were married July 2, 1923, in Falls Church, Fairfax County, VA.

Belle was a member of the Methodist Church in Arlington, VA, and was a charter member of Laurel Rebekah Lodge No. 44 in Falls Church, VA.

Belle is survived by two daughters, Georgia Belle Ingrim and Kathryn Ann Hunter; three sons, William Alexander, Jr., Conway Lindsey, and Stanford Lee Hunter; a brother, Clyde Strother (Genevieve "Gene") Bloxton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her youngest son, Richard VanDyke Hunter.

Belle was buried in Oakwood Cemetery on Friday, April 22, 1988. A graveside service was conducted by Laurel Rebekah Lodge No. 44 at Oakwood Cemetery, Falls Church, VA, on Saturday, April 23, 1988, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be sent to the Odd Fellows Home.

Volume One began with the immigrant John Washington, who settled in Westmoreland Co., Va., in 1657, married Anne Pope, and became the great-grandfather of President George Washington. It continued the record of their descendants for a total of seven generations. Volume Two highlighted notable family members in the next eight generations of John and Anne Washington's descendants.
