Annie was born to Adeline & Thomas Haines on November 28, 1907 in the coal mining town of Stuart (later renamed Lochgelly), West Virginia. Thomas and Adeline arrived in West Virginia from Staffordshire, England in 1906. At the age of 3 her father died as a result of a coal mining accident. Adeline met and married Leonard Millington, to this family was born John and twins Edith and Amy. By 1920 the family was living in Terre Haute, Indiana. At the age of 17 Annie married Wilfred Walsh on June 2, 1925 at St. George's Church in Detroit, Michigan. To this union was born two daughters Dorothy Adeline (1927) and Evelyn Della (1930). The family moved to Flint, Michigan in 1933. Annie worked as a machine operator for AC Sparkplug. During the WWII years she was a Nursing Aide for Hurley Hospital. Annie was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Flint, Michigan. All her life she stayed active in the lives of her children, their spouses, her six grandchildren, her fourteen great-grandchildren, her one great-great grandchild, and her twin sisters Edith and Amy. At the age of 90, she died at McLaren Regional Medical Center. She was proceeded in death by her husband Wilfred, grandson(s) Edward James, Richard Michael, great-grandson Charles Michael, brother John, mother Adeline, father Thomas, and her stepfather Leonard.
