Wilfred Walsh, the son of Thomas Frederic Walsh and Dorothy Holt Walsh, was born August 17, 1900 in Lancashire, England. He was the fourth of five Walsh brothers, Henry (1889), John Willie (1892), Charles (1895), Wilfred (1900) and Stanley (1902). Wilfred served in WWI with the British Military. At the age of 20, he paid his own passage to America and arrived at Ellis Island in April 1921 with a destination of West Terre Haute, Indiana. On June 2, 1925, at the age of 24, he married Annie Evelyn Haines in Detroit Michigan. Wilfred became a Naturalized Citizen on October 10, 1928, Detroit District Court, Detroit, Michigan. In the 1930's he worked as an electrician in the auto factory. In the 1940's he had moved his family to Flint, Michigan where he worked as a tool grinder for AC Spark Plug. At the age of 65 he died on May 21 1966. He is buried with his wife Annie at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
