Nora married Daniel G. Marmon (some records show Morman) on October 25, 1901 at Rockwell, Calhoun County, Iowa. They were the parents of Raymond and Pearl. Son, Raymond, died at birth and her husband, Daniel died in 1905.
On August 1, 1908, Nora married Isaac William Jones at Lake City, Calhoun County, Iowa. They were the parents of:
Marcia Ann Elizabeth (Ella), Anna E., William, Margaret, Alice R., and Velma. Her husband, I. W., died in 1949.
Nora operated the first nursing home in Lake City and continued in that occupation for at least 30 years. On Oct. 2, 1949, she married Charles Overton. They retired in 1954, and continued to live at the nursing home, which was operated under the ownership of Mrs. Overton's daughter, Mrs. Cecil Anderson. Nora had been in ill health for eight years and died at the McVay Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Lake City Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, at the Huffman Memorial Chapel. The Rev. James Schilling, pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiated. Pall bearers ere A. M. Short, Joe Steig, Lee Heath, Charles Richardson, Arthur Carlson and Henry Sanders. Burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two previous husbands, Daniel Mormon and William Jones; two brothers and three children - Raymond, William and Velma.
