Funeral services for Norman Daisy, 69, Lake City, were held here Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Karn Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard D. Prather, pastor of Woodlawn Christian Church, officiated.
Pallbearers were Eugene Birchard, Howard Daisy, Earl Savage, Donald Pierce, Russell Daisy and Charles Savage, Jr. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery.
He was a son of Elmer and Anna Gist Daisy, born Nov. 15, 1890 at Lake City, where he grew to manhood, and received his education. He served in the armed forces in World War I. In 1920 he was married to Emma Abbott of Fort Dodge. They were the parents of six children. Mrs. Daisy died July 28, 1949. Mr. Daisy was a painter and paper-hanger by trade. He was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church, Lake City. He died Feb. 18, at Midway Nursing Home after a three month illness.
Survivors include three sons, Arnold Daisy, Missouri Valley, Larry Daisy and Lee Daisy, both in the U.S. Navy; two daughters, Mrs. John (Virginia) DeBoest, Dana, and Mrs. Roger (Norma) Strange, Havelock, N.C.; four grandchildren; two brothers, William and Frank Daisy, both of Lake City; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Overton, Mrs. Claude Pierce and Mrs. Charles Savage Sr., all of Lake City, and Mrs. Walter Shepperson, Roseville, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant son and one brother.
