Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Pierce, 81, of Lake City died at Shady Oaks Nursing Home here Saturday..... She formerly operated a nursing home in Lake City for 15 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Christian Church here, with burial in Lake City Cemetery. The Rev. John Holland will officiate. Friends may call at the Huffman Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Pierce was born at Lake City, Nov. 22, 1892, a daughter of Elmer and Lida Gist Daisy. On Dec. 21, 1912, she married Claude Pierce at Fort Dodge....
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Clarence (Hildred) Richards and Mrs. Raymond (Bernice) Fank of Lake City; two sons, Donald of Lytton and Wilbur of Storm Lake; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, William and Frank Daisy and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Savage, all of Lake City.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded Mrs. Pierce in death, in addition to her husband.
