Her siblings were Cyreena Lorena (Rena), Franklin Clyde, Mattie, Myrtle, William John, Maggie, Susan Graceful, Olive Josephine and Naomi.
Mae was born in CO. She and her family had lived in MT, New Mexico and CO as her parents "worked the crops", thus moving around often.
Mae married Albert Henry Rowe (she was his second wife . . . first wife being Ida Mae Payne) on July 3, 1906 at Great Falls, MT. Four children were born from this union: Albert H. (died shortly after 1910 and probably before age one), James, Vera and Cathryn (my husband's mother).
Family history states that Mae divorced Albert after she discovered he'd lied about his age (he was many years her senior) and that he'd had "a first family" in MT.
Mae died of cancer while living with daughter, Cathryn and family in Eureka, CA. At this point, I do not have "exact day of death", but according to cemetery records, she was "laid to rest" on April 26, 1954.
Second photo shows Mae (on far right) with 7 of her siblings. Sister Maggie died in 1904 and sister Naomi died in 1937. Maggie is buried in MT and Naomi in Oregon. Therefore this photo was taken at some point "after 1937".
Grave location: Sunset Memorial Park, Block 23, Section 41, Plot 1.
