NEWVILLE Bruce R. Chestnut, 83, of 4462 Enola Road, Upper Frankford Twp., died yesterday in Carlisle Hospital.
He was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; attended Doubling Gap Church of God; and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Armolt Chestnut; five sons, Harold G., Robert Lee, Barry B., and Larry G, all of Newville, and Donald P. of Carlisle RD 9; a daughter, Vada M. Shughart of Shippensburg; a brother, Lloyd of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Blanche Nickle of Carlisle, and Helen Clevenger of Newville; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Monday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Twp.
