Susan Samirania Woods Stewart was born in Mississippi and believed to be the daughter of Archibald and Sallie Goodloe Caperton Woods... she was the 3rd wife of two time widower John William "Bill" Stewart, together they had 7 children. James Eldred 1874-1946; Woods 1876-1876; Ossyth Mae 1877-1962; Winston 1880-1942; Brown 1882-1967; Donald H 1884-1957; Kennon 1885-1964... having married a widower, she may have also taken on the care of his daughter Nona with previous wife Mallissa Shelton who was killed in a buggy accident when her daughter was only a toddler. Her husband Bill Stewart worked all his life on the Southern Railroad where he and Susan lived in Wenasoga, Mississippi for several years before buying a farm just across the state line in TN where they lived when Bill died of the flu in 1918. In the 1920 McNairy County, Tennessee census she is 70 years old and listed as a widow and living with her son Brown and his family. When she passed away in 1926 she was buried next to husband Bill in Alcorn, Mississippi.
