Mr. Willie Buford, Jr. was born November 5, 1926 in Nashville, Tennessee to the parents Willie & Mamie Buford, Sr. He possessed a strong desire to have Christ in his life at an early age. He was united with the St. Matthew A.M.E Church. Willie was educated in the Davidson County School System.

He was married to the love of his life Clara Taylor Buford, they enjoyed many years of marital bliss. Willie was employed by the Neuhoff Packing Company and Bridgestone Tire Plant for several years.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Willie and Manie Buford, Sr., wife, Clara Taylor Buford, daughters, Julia C. Winston and Gloria D. Buford, son, Larry B. Buford.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories devoted daughters, Angela Buford (Billy) Hathaway and Linda Bailey, devoted son, Willie (Bill) Buford, III, devoted sister, Frances Buford, devoted brothers, William (Mack) and Amos (Mildred) Buford, daughter-in-law, Mildred Cantrell, devoted sister-in-law, Mary Chatman, devoted cousin, Lucille Barbee, devoted grandchildren, Tracy (Deon) Avant, Tanya Buford, Jermaine Winston, Ricco Buford, and Billie and Jessica Hathaway, 5 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Viewing Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 12-6 p.m., at Terrell Broady Funeral Home.

Visitation Thursday, March 12, 2009, 10-11 a.m., with funeral to follow at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, 1721 McKinney Avenue, Rev. Reginald Brock, Eulogist.
