Mrs. Edna Geissinger

Mrs. Edna Geissinger, 81, Chambersburg, formerly of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 1979 at about noon in the Franklin County Nursing Home, Chambersburg.

Born Jan. 15, 1898, in Cassville, she was the daughter of Mrs. Lucy Bumgardner.

She was united in marriage to Blair Geissinger in 1918 in Huntingdon. He preceded her in death in March 1932.

The following children survive: Eulala Geissinger, Chambersburg; Blair Geissinger Jr., Hanover; Mrs. Priscilla Wisocki, Chambersburg, and Miss Lucie Geissinger and Mrs. Joann Kelsch, both of the state of Ohio. One son and one daughter preceded her in death.

Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive.

Also surviving are a half-sister, Mrs. Veda Bowman, Huntingdon; and two half-brothers: Mitchell Bumgardner and Lester Bumgardner, both of Huntingdon. One half-brother, Paul, preceded her in death.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She had been employed by the Shippensburg Manufacturing Co. for 35 years and reitred in 1968.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Robert E. Petters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Albert Haught officiating. Interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon.

Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Friday.
