Born December 30, 1943 in Monroe, Lillard was the son of the late Lillard and Madge Beeler. Lillard attended Monroe Public Schools.
On January 18, 1966 Lillard married his beloved wife, the former Carolyn Sue Wilson in Wyandotte, MI.
Lillard was employed as a press operator for Firestone Steel in Wyandotte until his retirement in 1990.
Lillard was a long standing member of the Woodhaven Moose Lodge. In his early years he enjoyed playing softball. Lillard was the founder of Unknown DJ's, where as a disc jockey he entertained at many weddings and social events in the downriver area. Most of all Lillard loved and enjoyed being with family.
Lillard is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Carolyn, four loving children: Johnny (Jeanette) Beeler of Carleton, MI, Dennis (Linda) Beeler of Toledo, OH, Susan Nolen of Toledo, OH and Pam Beeler of Richmond, VA, nine cherished grandchildren, four siblings: Donald Beeler of Flat Rock, MI, David (Jean) Beeler of Lupton, MI, Agnes Brewer and Ruby Braden both of Monroe.
In addition to his parents, Lillard was preceded in death by three brothers: Glen, James, and Ronald Beeler and a sister Peggy Jones.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 noon – 6:00 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Sister Kate O'Brien, Chaplain at Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe will officiate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
