WILLIAM MONROE ANDERSON, son of Thomas Franklin Anderson and Molly Elizabeth "Mary" Brewer Anderson, was born June 19, 1984 in Crawford County, Arkansas.

He married Leota Flora Wilson on November 9, 1913 in Crawford County. Not long after their marriage, they relocated to Oklahoma, eventually settling in California. They were the parents of seven children: (1) Odes Franklin Anderson, 1916-2004, (2) Artes Dillard Anderson, 1918-1990, (3) Alvin Charles Anderson, 1921-2005, (4) Elsie Alice Anderson Graham, 1923-1979, (5) Nelson Monroe Anderson, 1925-1984, (6) Wilma Jean Anderson Lee Arnold, born 1932, (7) William Monroe Anderson, Jr., 1936-2004.

Willie and Leota were members of the Pentecostal Holiness Church and they loved singing and praising the Lord together.

Willie died of cancer January 3, 1963, in Farmersville, Tulare County, California. He was buried in the Exeter District Cemetery in Exeter, Tulare County.
