Florence married Marion John Kerns on December 1, 1920, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. There were the parents of six children: (1) Marion Harrison Kerns, born and died 1921, infant death, (2) Arthur Edgar Kerns, born 1922, (3) Faye Arline Kerns Goehring, 1925-2003, (4) Delmer LeRoy Kerns, 1927-1983, (5) Wanda Lee Kerns, born and died 1929 at the age of about 5 weeks, (6) Charles Winfred (Winford) Kerns, 1937-1994.
Marion and Florence moved their family from Oklahoma to California. They continued to live there the rest of their lives.
Florence died of cancer on August 5, 1972, at Farmersville, Tulare County, California. She was buried by her husband in Exeter District Cemetery, Exeter, Tulare County, California.
