Dodge City -- John "Pete" Amerine, 77, died Thursday, July 24, 1986 at Humana Hospitla, Dodge City.

Born March 28, 1909 at Topeka, he married Josephine Kaberlein Nov. 11, 1931.

He was a mechanic for an oil pipeline and had been a resident of Dodge City since 1952. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City.

Survivors, wife, of the home; daughters, daughters, Mary Ann Dehnert of Overland Park, Rosalie Salm of Cimarron, Dolores Clark of Leawood; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Rev. Joseph Bahr. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
