Sarah Ann "Sallie" Edelen Fenwick, 81, an estimable lady of the county, died at her home in the Fenwick [Thompsonville] neighborhood last Sunday, December 18, 1898.
She was born in 1816, in Washington County, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert Edelen and Elizabeth Hester Riney.
Sarah and Thomas Yates Fenwick were married in 1832.
She led a useful and Christian life and possessed many fine traits of character.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Thomas Yates Fenwick, on April 27, 1877.
She is survived by three children, G. W. Fenwick, of this county, Thomas Fenwick, of Union county, and Mrs. Sue Mock, of Louisville.
The funeral took place at Saint Rose Church on Monday last, with burial in Saint Rose Cemetery.
