Robert & Elizabeth's other children also followed every two years in 1811, 1813, etc. so there is no explanation for a gap from 1806 to 1811. All evidence points to Edward's birth in 1809 and an error on the gravestone. You will notice the year of death on the gravestone is also incorrect, as Edward's will was probated in June of 1846.
