Victor A. Watry, 81, 545 Spring St., Chilton, died Thursday afternoon, May 7, 1987, at the home of his son.

He was born July 15, 1905, in the town of Stockbridge, a son of Dominic and Anna Sampont Watry. On May 12, 1927 he married Florence Doern at Waukegan, Ill.

The Watrys farmed in the town of Brothertown until his retirement in 1974. Mrs. Watry died April 3. Mr. Watry was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, and the Chilton Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a daughter; Mrs. Gordon (Virginia) Rothmann of Appleton; two sons, Leroy of Dallas, Texas and Elden of Elkhart Lake; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Isabel Schmidt of Manitowoc.

Three sisters, seven brothers and a grandchild preceded him in death.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Brick, pastor, as celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
