Dulcie Mercedes was born to Walter and Florence Chesborough on February 21, 1926 at Pinewood, MN. She attended grade school at Pinewood, MN and high school at Henning and Bemidji. She graduated from Bemidji State Teachers College and taught school at Pennington, Baudette and Border, MN. On August 20, 1949, Dulcie and Roy Sunne were united in marriage at Bemidji. They farmed in WIlliams Township east of Cementson until December 1995 when they moved into Baudette. They Owned and operated a hotel in New Rockford, North Dakota from 1973-1980. Roy and Dulcie operated Sunne's U-Pick Strawberries until their son, Joel took over. Dulcie's home was open to people. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, entertaining the grandchildren, and BIble studies, which she often hosted at her home. She attended the Evangelic Covenant Church of Baudette.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were one brother, Grant Chesborough, one sister, Sadie (Bob) Say, and one grand daughter, Victoria Sunne.

Survived by husband: Roy E. Sunne, Daughter Kay Mary and Dennis Briese, sons: Lyle Gene and Karen, Wayne Lee and Mary, Joel Walter and Kristine, Brother; LeRoy Chesborough, sisters; Avis Vincent, Virginia Jolson, Ruby Quick and JoAnn Thamert, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
