Noble E. Jones, 56, died at 8:37 PM Monday, Nov. 5, 1979, in St. Elizabeth Hospital; he had been ill since January. Born and reared at Bowling Green, KY, he came to Lafayette in 1947. In 1946, he was married at Bowling Green to Mary Edith Renfrow; she is an employee of Family Inn.

Mr. Jones was employed as a welder at Rush Metal Products, Co. eight years, retiring last January. He was formerly employed as a welder at Consolidated Industries. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army in the European Theater. He attended Greenbush Street Baptist Church.

Surviving with his widow are two sons, Randall L. Jones and David W. Jones, both of Lafayette; two daughters, Miss Janet Y. Jones of Athen, GA, and Deborah (Mrs. Raymond) Daniels of Lafayette; his father, Edward Jones of Bowling Green, KY; two brothers, James Jones of Detroit, MI, and Junior Jones of Bowling Green, KY; and three grandchildren. Service Nov. 8, Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. James E. Chase officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
