Mr. Jones was a construction worker for Laborers International Union of North America Local 174. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154.
Surviving are a son, Troy Banes of Lafayette; his stepfather and mother, Adam and Mary Edith Renfro Crandall of Lafayette; two sisters, Miss Janet Jones of Athens, GA, and Debbie (Mrs. Ray) Daniels of West Point; and a brother, David Jones of Lafayette. Service March 7, Hippensteel Chapel, Pastor James E. Chase officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with VFW Post 1154 military rites.
