Jesse L. Myers, 56, RD3, Carlisle, died yesterday in the Veterans Hospital, Lebanon.
Mr. Myers was born April 6, 1917 in Cumberland County, a son of Mrs. Ida Gutshall Myers, RD3, Carlisle, and the late Charles Myers.
Before retiring, he was an employee of Troy Laundry & Dry Cleaning Company. A graduate of Carlisle High School, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a medical aidman with the Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Sheaffer Myers; four sons, Clyde L. Myers, 323 E. Louther St., Rodger D. Myers, with the U.S. Army in Germany, Vernon E. and Charles M. Myers, both at home; three daughters, Mrs. Paul J. (Nona) Bear, Jr., RD4, Mrs. Lee S. (Ruby) Moyer, 42 1/2 E. Locust St., Mechanicsburg, and Kathy R.A. Myers, at home; two brothers, Emmett E. Myers, RD4, and Lee E. Myers, RD3; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Gertrude Line, 455 N. College St. and one grandson.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 pm in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street, Carlisle.
The Rev. Francis P. Yarlett, pastor, Easter Waterford United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
