Taking advantage of the Hagerstown Fair yesterday quite a number of young couples from this section were married. Among those from Carlisle and vicinity were Lawrence Albright and Florence Stover; William Ott and Mary C. Ingram and Andrew Raudabaugh, Jr. and Abner Shoemaker, all of Carlisle; Charles L. Myers, Silver Spring and Ida M. Gutshall, Middlesex; Helen C. Ott of Newville and Homer H. Hoover, HIghspire. Quite a number of couples from Harrisburg and Steelton were also married. While the majority of the couples went through to Hagerstown on the special fair train, a number took the regular or "Cupid's Special" which has been gaining a big reputation for carrying young couples to Hagerstown.
