Theodore Roosevelt Trimble, affectionately nicknamed "Red" was the fourth son, and fifth child of Henneryette Margratia Brainard and Edward Trimble. In 1899, the family was living on a farm in rural Andrew County, just outside of Jefferson City, Missouri which is where Theodore was born. Theodore grew up on the farm where he was born as the 1910 and 1920 census both show him living on the farm with his parents and his siblings.

Theodore had an older brother, Bert, an older brother, Allen Kirk, a brother Edward Floyd who died at two years old, and an older sister, Grace Andrea . He had three younger siblings, a brother Carl Brainard, a sister, Dora Theresa who they called, Polly, and a younger brother, George Raymond whom everyone called Buster.

On Sept 12, 1918, Theodore filled out a draft card. The draft card indicated that his present occupation was a truck driver for Hunt Bros Fruit Company which was located at 115 Market Square in St. Joseph, MO. He indicated that Edward Trimble, his father who was living on Route six was his closest relative. The draft card also tells us that Theodore was of medium build, medium height, and had blue eyes and brown hair.

After that, Ted worked at the Green Hills Supermarket on 6th Ave near St. Joe Avenue in the 1960's. His sister, Andrea would shop there so she could see him. Andrea would later have a nice vacuum cleaner delivered to her house and she always suspected that Ted had bought it for her.

On Sept 9, 1923, Theodore married Aurelia Trottler. Theodore and Aurelia would have a son on June 3, 1926. They named him Robert Charles Trimble and called him, Bob.

The 1930 Census shows Theodore and Aurelia living on Savannah Road in Washington, Buchanan, Missouri with their three year old son, Robert. the 1940 Census shows him living back in Andrew County Missouri and working as a laborer on a fruit farm.

Late in life, Ted married Zelda Manship.
