Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Marion Lutheran Church with Rev. Chester Johnson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, officiated. Burial was made in Lakeview Cemetery at Marion.
Mr. Anderson was born October 30, 1885, at Adams, Minnesota, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Anderson. He received his education in the Adams school and in 1910 moved to Ludlow, S. Dak., where he homesteaded in Harding County. After proving up on his homestead he returned to Adams and in 1912 came to North Dakota to the Marion community where he farmed and worked in the carpentry trade, later purchasing a farm five miles west of Marion. He was married November 8, 1929, to Anna Arduser Schultz and they established their home on his farm where they resided until 1944 when they retired and moved into Marion. While residing on the farm, Mr. Anderson served on the Greenland Consolidated School Board and on the Greenland township board. In Marion he was active in community affairs, serving on the town board and as mayor of Marion for several years. He was a member of the Farmers Educational Cooperative Union of America and of the Marion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, John of Marion, Harley, Jamestown, and Allan Anderson, Larimore; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Musful (Verdie), Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.
