Kiley C. Welch, 92, retired farmer and merchant, died of respiratory failure at Convarest Nursing Home in Mendenhall on March 3, 2001.

Mr. Welch graduated from Mendenhall AHS, Jones Jr. College, and Mississippi College. He was a member of Mendenhall Church of God.

Funeral services were conducted March 6 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Magee with burial following in Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Welch of Mendenhall; brothers, Willie T. Welch and A.G. Welch of Magee and F.D. (Dock) Welch of Jackson; sisters, Mattie Cole of Magee, Alma Welch of Mendenhall and Ruth Cortese of New Orleans, LA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
