Services for Forrest F. Matthews, a retired agent with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carmichael's Chapel, burial in Decatur Cemetery. Mr. Matthews, who resided at 160 Maederis Drive in Decatur, died Tuesday at the age of 69. He was a member of the Capitol View Methodist Church in Atlanta. Survivivors include his widow, the former Lucile Allen of Decatur, daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Haydel of Luling, La., Mrs. Marianne Peak of Americus, and Mrs. Doris Lebo of Bronxville, N.Y.; sister, Mrs. Sara Bixler of Fort Mills, S.C.; brothers, Dr. Lawrence P. Matthews and Kenneth H. Matthews, both of Atlanta; Dr. Norman L. Matthews of Marquette, Mich., and Marion Matthews of Gainesville; and stepmother, Mrs. Mamie Matthews of Gainesville.

Forrest married first Doris Marguerite Wilson in 1935, and after her death, Sarah Lucile Allen. He was a veteran and had also worked in the Veterans Administration.
