In poor health for some time, Mrs. Hegna was taken seriously ill about two weeks ago and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alenda Hanson, Arlington, on Friday, October3.
Mrs. Hegna was born Anna Louisa, May 3, 1873 at Otsego, of Mr. and Mrs. Knute Peterson. She was one of nine children of whom Hans of Montevideo, Minnesota and Sena Peterson of Wyocena are still living. She has lived in the county all her life, and was baptized and confirmed in the Stone Church.
On October 10, 1892 she was united in marriage to Herman Hegna who preceded her in death on December 20, 1945. To this union the following children were born; Oscar of Poynette, Clarence of Rio, Mrs. Alva Borde of Rio, Alvin of Barron, Mrs. Hazel Olson of Columbus, Lyle of Rio and Mrs. Alenda Hanson of Arlington. A daughter, Mabel, preceded her in death on May 9, 1928. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
