Mrs. Peterson was born in Saude, Norway, October 2, 1841, and came to this country in 1865. In 1867 she was married to Knute Peterson who died about sixteen years ago. The family made there (sic) home on a farm east of Rio, until four years ago when they moved to Rio, where Mrs. Peterson resided until the time of her death.
Mrs. Peterson leaves eight children to mourn her death. They are Hans of Boyd, Minnesota; Mrs. Harry Barraclough of Randolph; Peter, Louie, William, Sena, Mrs. John Barraclough of Rio. One daughter, Clara, died at the age of six.
The funeral was held at the Rio Lutheran Church at 10:30 Tuesday forenoon, Reverend G.A. Sundby officiating. Interment in the Norwegian Cemetery. The pall bearers were Thos. Anderson, Hans Hegna, Chris Jacobson and Nels Gregor.
