John Joseph was born on Jan. 26, 1909 in Cleveland, the 2nd of 13 children of John and Jennie (nee Iacobucci) Del Zoppo. He had brothers Clarence, Louis, Anthony, Michael and Alex and sisters Filomena, Clara, Josephine, Carmela and Suntine.
He married Mary Ann Cisternino on July 4, 1927 in Cleveland. They had two children listed above.
He was a retired inspector with New York Central Railroad, Collinwood Yards for 50 years.
They had been married 67 years and were living in Eastlake when John passed away on Aug. 27, 1994 at age 85 from lung cancer. Services were at Holy Redeemer Church on Kipling Ave. on Wed. Aug. 31st.
Mary passed away two years later on Oct. 25, 1996 at age 84. Services were at Holy Redeemer Church on Tues. Oct. 29th. Both are buried at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.

He was a retired inspector with New York Central Railroad.
Friends may call at the Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home, 1531 St. Clair Ave. Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 31 at Holy Redeemer Church at 15712 Kipling Ave. Interment All Souls Cemetery
