HAROLD CHRISTENSEN

Harold L. Christensen of Redwood City died at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City Sunday after a brief illness. He was 77.

Mr. Christensen retired in 1970 after 50 years as a self-employed farmer in his native Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Christensen of Redwood City, a son, Dan Christensen of Milpitas; and a daughter, Patricia Ann Deer of Phoenix, Ariz.

He also is survived by his mother, Anna Christensen of Graettinger; five sisters, Lura McGuffin of St. Paul, Minn., Lula Schmidt of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Nelva Hansen and Alvena Christensen, both of Graettinger, and Merle Kauffman of Swea City; and two brothers, Warren Christensen of Larchwood, Iowa, and Dale Christensen of Lakota, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Redwood Chapter, 847 Woodside Road, Redwood City, with the REv. Dale Hanson, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church of Pacifica, officiating.

Entombment was at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
