Mr. Allen Warren, age 79, of Carrollton, entered into rest Wednesday, April 16, 2008.
Mr. Warren was born April 24, 1928, in Carroll County, Ga., to the late George Warren and Exie Stone. Mr. Warren was employed at Printed Fabrics before serving with the Carrollton Police Department for 25 years. He was member of FOP Ga Peace Officers Association and the Carroll Masonic Lodge #69 F&AM. He was also a member of Eureka Baptist Church.
Allen enjoyed building in his wood working shop. He was an outdoorsman. He loved camping and fishing. Allen was an Atlanta Braves fan. Later in his life, he enjoyed family coming to his home for cookouts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Morris Warren; a son, Barry Warren; a granddaughter, Kristie Warren, brothers, Luther Warren, Pelham Warren, Alvey Warren, Fred Warren, Rufus Warren, Glad Warren and Jack Warren; and sisters, Erma Stone and Willie Mae Vinson.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Judy Warren; grandsons and granddaughter-in-laws, Jackie Warren, Tammie Daniel, Scott Warren, Michelle Green, Shane and Jennifer Warren, Kelly and Sherry Warren; great-grandchildren, Ashley Jackson, Kylon Warren, Barry Warren, Will Warren, Matthew Warren, Paris Warren, Brandon Singleton and Cassidy Semple; great-great grandchildren, Mason Jackson and Haylie Warren; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Linda McDowell; brother-in-law, Robert McDowell; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Jocko.A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. from Almon Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hamrick and Rev. Junior Jones officiating.Pallbearers will be the Carrollton Police Department Honor Guard.
Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
