Mrs. Exie Warren, age 86, of 101 Avenue C died early Monday in a local hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Carroll County, June 2, 1889, the daughter of the late George Tarpley Stone and Eleanor/Ellende Williamson Stone. She lived in Carroll County most of her life. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Clem United Methodist Church. In 1920 she was married to George Warren who died June 27, 1937. Surviving are three sons, Luther Warren of Carrollton, Pelham Warren of Villa Rica, and Allen Warren of Carrollton Route 4, two stepsons Alvey Warren of Overton, TX and Fred Warren of Carrollton, Route 6; two stepdaughters Mrs. Erma Stone of Carrollton and Mrs. Willie Mae Salter of Tifton, GA; one grandson, 12 step grandchildren; six great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren; and a brother, Davis Stone of Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services were conducted Tues Nov 18, 1975 at 3 pm from the Welcome Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Irvine Phillips officiating, assisted by Rev. O.M. Hale. Music was under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Moore. Pallbearers were Larry Warren, Wayne Stone, Junior Smith, Doyle Warren, Mike Stone and Verlin Warren. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Carrollton and Villa Rica Police Departments. Interment was in the Carrollton City Cemetery
