WILLIAM FLOYD GARRISON

Wm. Floyd Garrison, 62, died
December 31,1946 at his home,
1344 Atchison St. Atchison Kan-
sas It was his and Mrs. Garrison's
forty-third wedding anniversary.
He had been ill with a heart ail-
ment since last June.
Mr. Garrison was born January
2, 1884 on his fathers farm near
Summerfield. He was the eldest
son of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Garrison
On December 31,1903 he was
united in marriage to Maude Duck-
worth. To this union were born five
children, four survive.
Mr. Garrison lived on a farm
near Summerfield several years,
moved from to Frankfort
Kansas and later moved to Sum-
merfield They left Summerfield
and moved to Atchison in 1926.
During the last five years until ill-
ness prevented he was employed
at the L.F.M. Before that he was
a mechanic.
Surviving are Mrs. Garrison
three daughters, Lola, Mrs. Audrey
Ziegler, Atchison; Velma, Mrs Del-
bert Dyer, Chicago, Ill; Vera,
Mrs. Robert Peterson Los Angeles,
Calif.; Harold his son, Atchison;
and eight grandchildren. He is al-
so survived by three sisters, Mrs.
Irvin Glick, Beattie; Mrs. John
Black, Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs.
Frank Winquist, Summerfield and
three brothers, Ole Garrison, Sum-
merfield; Ben Garrison, Liberty,
Nebr.; and Raleigh Garrison of
San Diego, Calif. His father and
mother, and on brother, Walter and
a daughter, Elsie preceded him in
death.
Funeral services were held at
Haroff - Buis funeral home
at 10 a.m. Friday, January 3, with
Rev. Troy Warner, pastor of the
Methodist church officiating. Grave
side services were held Sunday,
January 5 at Frankfort. Pallbearers
were Delbert Dyer, Claude Miller,
Fred Gee, and Geo. Starr.
Floyd was a kind friend to ev-
eryone and a loving father and
husband and will be sadly missed
by all.
