Pete Pawlirzyn was the 4th child of 8 of John Pawlirzyn (1881 - 1964) and Jospehine (Djubek) Pawlirzyn (1881 - 1967). They immigrated from Poland (Ukraine) through Ellis Island in 1906 and settled in the Bronx, New York, USA. John worked as a grave digger at Saint Raymonds Cemetery where he purchased a flarge family plot and headstone.

Pete wa in the US Army during WWII and suffered from emphasema which eventually took his life. H lived with his eldery parents till their deaths.

Mary (Pawlirzyn) Gescheidle (1910 - 2008),
Anthony (Turk/Tony) Pawlirzyn (1912 - living),
*Anthony will celebrate his centennial birthday Dec 12 2012 and is the surviving sibling,
Spphia (Sally)(Pawlirzyn) stankowski, Ditmore (1917-1989),
Julia (Julie)(Pawlirzyn) Magyar, Karl, White (1919 - 2000),
Edward (Eddie) Pawlirzyn (Paulins) 1922 - 1992),
Michael Joseph Pawlirzyn Sr (1925 - 1997)(twin),
*Josephine Pawlirzyn was a stillborn and a twin to Michael (1925 - 1925)

Pete was totaly dependent on oxygen for years and walked around with a litre bottle of oxygen on wheels when not in bed. He had been a heavy smoker. Pete was also a confirmed bachelor.

Pete was survived by several siblings, nieces, newphews and many of their offspring.
