John immigrated from Poland (Galacia-Austrio-Hungry) aroung 1906 with his wife Josephine Djubek and baby daughter Justine (Jenny). They were married in Poland and had their first child in Poland before immigrating through Ellis Island to New York (Bronx). He was the father of 8 childrem, 7 who have since passed away and a livng son, Anthony who will be 100 in Dec 2012.

John worked as a grave digger at Saint Raymonds Cemetery (Old)when he purchased a large family plot. He considered himself Ukranion but lived in Poland also. He may be also spent some time in Czechloslavakia.

He was called(Jigi)by his grandchildren.
