Chesley & Minnie Jordan children
I have recently surveyed the entire Lathamville Cemetery in DeKalb County, AL and there are two children there who are their kids. I am sending an edit request to have them linked but thought you may like to know as well. Hope this helps you in your research of this family line. Maria

Eva .
Hello, I photographed the Antioch Cemetery in Edgefield County, SC yesterday. I got a photo of the headstone for Emma and the infant child I believe she died giving birth to. The full date of birth and death are on the headstone, now posted. It may be hard to read on the computer but I was there and can verify the dates. I sent you an edit for Emma but the infant dates also could be filled in. Thanks! Eva

Peggy Dean Finch
McCarty Burial
What information do you have that Sampson McCarty was buried at Austin Creek Cemetery in Blount Co., AL?

His wife, Isabella, is buried there. Their daughter, Phoebe Ann "Annie" and her husband,
William Sylvester Grigsby are buried there. They are my great grandparents. My grandmother, Nina M. Grigsby Stephens and my grandfather, John Fayette Stephens are buried there.

In asking a church member about Sampson's burial, there are no church records that they have.

Laura Stephens Thompson
Laura Stephens Thompson was my great-grandmother, but I was not able to find her or her twins, Lillie and Willie, in the Yellow Dirt Cemetery in Heard County, Georgia. Are they in unmarked graves, or are they not located near Albert D. Thompson and his mother and father? I had always thought Laura Stephens Thompson was buried in Henry County, Georgia. Thanks much.

Elizabeth Weldin
Elizabeth ALMOND [variant SPELLING ALMOND, ALLMOND, ALMON] WELDIN, 1755-1821, wife of American Revolutionary War Veteran, George WELDIN, 1754-1796, buried Newark Union Cemetery

Hello - I photographed all stones in this cemetery (readable or not). It looks like there "was" a stone next to George which could be Elizabeth. Please look under "Unknown" as there are a few stones that I could not read. Maybe you can see something I couldn't to identify her stone. Some of the "Unknowns" were within/near the Weldin family. Hello! Nelson is my great-great grandfather, and I was wondering if you had any info on his line (his father or mother, perhaps). That's pretty much the only line in my family I cannot find, lol!

Thanks much!

Samuel Teague, Sr.
Hello Milisia,

Thank you for sharing the information you provided on Find-A-Grave .com about Samuel Teague Senior (Find A Grave Memorial# 89095719) and his wife Rebecca, buried in the cemetery of Union Church in Newberry, South Carolina. Samuel and Rebecca are my ancestors. Based on this information, I visited that church on September 16 in an effort to contribute photos of Teague headstones. I found the following:

1. A headstone of someone named Giles located in plain sight to the right of the church; date was early 1900s but no other details captured

2. Three new graves behind the church

3. Six graves in the woods behind the church and off to the right as you look at the church from the road. Three of the graves have small headstones, very weathered and no discernible markings. Possibly these include headstones for Samuel and Rebecca Teague. Of the other three, two are together and we could discern the names Giles and Arnold on the stones but could not capture the dates. One of these was broken off at the top. Another headstone was off to the side, lying on its side, but I was not able to get much useful information from it.

The church is now the Brown Chapel AME Church, and the address is 1279 Brown Chapel Road. I took photos of the graves in the woods as described above and of the sign in front of the church. If any of these photos are useful I can contribute them.

I would appreciate it very much if you could share the source of your information as to Samuel and Rebecca Teague being buried there.

Thank you again for your many contributions.
