Arden Elwood Jensen was born Jan. 31, 1932 to Otto L. and Ella (Olson) Jensen at Erwin. He died Nov. 18. He grew to manhood in the area and served in the United States Navy from October 1952 to October 1956. He was united in marriage to Elaine Kropuenske Dec. 27, 1960 at Willow Lake. He farmed all his life in the North Preston area. He held several positions at the North Preston Church. He was a member of the Porter L. Rich, American Legion Post and supervisor on the Badger Township Board for several years. He especially enjoyed being with his family, friends, flying airplanes and fishing. Survivors include: his wife, Elaine; two sons, Wade and his wife, Lori, of Lake Preston and Ward and his wife, Jackie, of Sioux Falls; one daughter, Dawn and her husband, Sandy Larsen, of Lake Preston; seven grandchildren; his mother, Ella Jensen, of Sioux Falls; two brothers and their wives, Donald and Lee Jensen and Lonnie and Betty Jensen of Sioux Falls; four sisters, Marilyn and James Person of Pierre, Carol and Bill Kollis and LuAnn and Robert Decker of Sioux falls and Sheryl and James Walston of South Sioux City, Neb. Preceding him in death were his father and two brothers. Burial was in the North Preston Church Cemetery.
