Lyle Lincoln Jensen was born to Otto L. and Ella (Olson) Jensen on a farm in North Preston area on Dec. 27, 1933. He died on April 2, 1992 form a farm accident. He was baptized and confirmed in the North Preston Lutheran Church. He graduated from Lake Preston High School in 1952. He married LaDonna Mogler June 29, 1956. He served in the army from Aug. 6, 1956 to May 31, 1958. While in the service, he spent 16 months in Korea. After returning from the service he was employed at Perry International in Arlington for two years. In 1960, they moved to a farm in the North Preston area where he lived until the time of his death. During that time he held numerous church positions and was currently a deacon at the North Preston Church. He was a supervisor for Baker Township, which he served on for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Gideons. Survivors include: his wife; one son and his wife Lynn and Jodi Jensen of Lake Preston; two daughter and their husbands, Laurie and Wayne Noem of Watertown and Linda and Lonny Fey of Redfield; his mother, Ella Jensen of Sioux Falls; three brothers and their wives, Donald and Lee Jensen of Sioux Falls, Arden and Elaine Jensen of Lake Preston and Lonnie and Betty Jenson of Sioux Falls; four sisters and their husbands, Cheryl and Jim Walston of Sioux City, Iowa, Carol and Bill Kollis of Sioux Falls, Marilyn and James Person of Pierre and LuAnn and Robert Decker of Sioux Falls; and six grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father and one brother. Burial was in the North Preston Church Cemetery with the Johnson Henry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements."
