He was born May 2, 1897 in Manawa, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Greasen) Weller.
On February 10, 1931 Alfred was united in marriage to Elda Clausen in Bevent. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five brothers, Gustave (Lila), Wittenberg, Frank, Rainer, OR, Herman (Ruby), Florida, Edwin (Lorna), Eland and George (Ethel), Wittenberg; five sisters, Celia Krenn, Fond du Lac, Emily (Edward) Flaig, Shawano, Mary (Onufry) Wanta, Wittenberg, Clara (Raymond) Klemen, Appleton and Mrs. Fred Beckman, Clintonville.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe and one sister, Georgeann.
Funeral services were held May 17, 1972 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Galloway. The Rev. Roman Papiernik officiated.
