Eliza Donaldson Was Long Time Resident
Miss Eliza Donaldson was born at Dubuque, Iowa, February 3, 1855, moving to Grand Meadow, Minnesota, with her parents a short time later. In 1881 she moved to Dakota Territory, settling on a Kingsbury County farm near De Smet, residing there until a few years ago, when she moved to De Smet, making her home here until her death November 8.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. James Trousdale of Lake Preston, Mrs. Bart Harlan of Ronan, Montana, Mrs. E.M. Sherry of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Thursday, November 10 with the Rev. L.A. Johnson in charge.
Pallbearers were six nephews Eldon and Boyd Decker of De Smet, Clark, Jodey, Harry and Ray Hodges all of Erwin.
Interment was in the local cemetery.
